In addition to promoting the Great Kindness Challenge at school, we would also like to promote it within our amazing community! If you would like to participate, our community challenge is collecting the following items for our Grab-N-Go School Food Pantry! This pantry is used to provide food to students when needed. These are items that they can easily prepare themselves and require few ingredients to make. Any and all donations can be dropped off at the main office. January 23rd-27th is the Great Kindness Challenge for grades K-6! Your student will be bringing home a schedule of dress up days that we will be participating in along with a checklist of challenges that can be completed with you at home. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE that anytime they complete a task, take their picture and blast social media using #GreatKindnessChallenge to promote this amazing event and the wonderful things our students do!

On Tuesday, January 17th we will be having fan appreciation night for our basketball games against Omaha! All of the fans that attend the game will enter free of charge AND the concession stand will be OPEN free of charge! Come out and enjoy some great competitive basketball games between your Lead Hill Tigers and the Omaha Eagles. The first game of the night will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the Junior High Boys, followed by the Senior High Girls and the night will be capped off with the Senior High Boys. Lead Hill School District is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive. It is on Tuesday, January 17th from 1:30-5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 340. Lead Hill Seniors could receive a scholarship from the American Red Cross High School Scholarship Program based on the amount of pints collected during the year. The more pints of blood our school collects, the more scholarship money our school is eligible to receive for our Seniors!!
