Update About Social Media Post:
After completing our investigation we have determined the questionable post was not a threat and was unrelated to the district.
When we share information with you as parents and community there is always speculation about what is going on and often times there is incorrect information shared by people other than district administration. We share what we are able to share.
Had this been a direct threat to students and/or staff, more extreme measures would have been taken, up to and including closing school.
The safety of our kids and staff members are of utmost importance to us.
Thank you again for your patience.
Tami Richey, Superintendent

Our FFA & 4H students did great at the poultry show at the Boone County Fair today! Congratulations to Andrew Shekels for receiving Reserve Grand Champion Broilers!

Lead Hill Elementary has a really cool fundraiser that is ongoing through the ENTIRE school year!! It's easy for you to participate and help students win prizes; you don't have to buy anything extra! If you enter through the link and click the "Merchants" section of over 300 online retailers, simply shop as you normally would and our school earns a percentage of your purchases! Of course they also have a school store where you can buy extra things, but we want your percentages!!! Each elementary student has their own personal shopping link to shop through, so you can shop through an individual child's link to help them earn prizes while you shop! Thank you for supporting our school!!
Here's a link to a student's shopping page, so you can check it out. Be sure to ask an elementary student you know for their link to help them win prizes throughout the year! https://www.schoolstore.com/cgi/SSCHomePage?orderid=SS071741520240911

A questionable social media post has been brought to the Lead Hill School District administration’s attention.
Be assured we have taken the appropriate steps to protect our students and staff. Local and county law enforcement have been notified and are assisting in the investigation. If you choose to keep your child home tomorrow (Wednesday) it will be an excused absence.
Thank you for patience and understanding.
